A Smarter, More Personalized ELSA Speak Experience Is Coming Soon!
We have exciting news to share with you!
ELSA Speak is getting a major upgrade. All users will soon move from the Classic experience to our newest version called ELSA Nova. This new experience is designed to help you learn English more effectively through personalization and advanced artificial intelligence, while keeping your learning progress safe.
When is this happening?
The upgrade will take place between January 10 and January 17.
Users will be upgraded in small groups to ensure a smooth experience. You do not need to take any action. The upgrade will happen automatically.
What is ELSA Nova?
ELSA Nova is the newest version of the ELSA Speak app. It focuses on personalized learning and practical English practice, based on your level, goals, and interests.
What is new in ELSA Nova?
ELSA Nova introduces several improvements to help you learn English better.
- Personalized learning path
ELSA will suggest lessons based on your English level, learning goals, and interests. Whether you are learning English for work, travel, or daily communication, the lessons will be tailored to you.
- AI-powered roleplay with instant feedback
You can practice real-life situations such as meetings, travel, and everyday conversations. The app provides instant feedback to help you improve step by step.
- Multi-accent pronunciation training
You can practice listening and speaking with different English accents to improve your understanding and pronunciation.
- More engaging learning experience
Interactive activities and learning characters make practice more enjoyable and help you stay motivated.
- Beginner-friendly support
If you are new to English, you can start at a comfortable level and gradually progress to full English conversations.
What will stay the same?
Your access and learning progress will NOT be affected.
- Your plan and access
Free users will continue to have access to free lessons, based on the global free lesson limit.
Pro, Premium, and Lifetime users will keep the same plan, features, and billing. There will be no changes to pricing or access.
- Your learning progress
The following data will be saved and moved to the new experience:
- Account and login information
- Current plan
- Learning streaks
- Earned badges and certificates
- Leaderboard position
- Study sets you created
- Learning time and completed lessons
- Overall learning progress
What features will NOT continue in ELSA Nova?
Some features from the Classic experience will not be available in the new version, including:
- Assessment test retake
- Certain pronunciation mini programs
- The old league ranking system
- Some game types and video-based activities
- Invite friends feature
- Course Finder
- Downloading and sharing certificates
- Some advanced pronunciation tools
These changes allow us to focus on a simpler and more effective learning experience.
Do I need to update my app?
To access the newest navigation and design, please update your app to the latest version available on the App Store or Google Play Store.
Users with older app versions may still be upgraded, but could see an older layout until the app is updated.
What will happen when I am upgraded?
You will not be logged out of the app.
When you open ELSA Speak after the upgrade, you will see a welcome screen followed by a few onboarding questions. After that, you can start using the new ELSA Nova experience immediately.
